Dr. Herman attended Northwestern University Medical School. His Neurology residency was at the University of Virginia . He completed additional fellowship training in electroencephalography and epilepsy at the Neurological Institute, Columbia University Medical School.
He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and also in electroencephalography by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology. He is chief of neurology and director of the electroencephalography laboratory at Monmouth Medical Center. He is director of the epilepsy monitoring unit at Riverview Medical Center.
In addition to his general neurology practice, his chief interest is in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy.
